A FINE ROCK GARDEN.—A corner of the rock garden of the Nelson (New Zealand) Rock Gardening Society. The membership of the society has now passed the 1,000 mark, members residing in many parts of th Dominion. The society in the past few years has done wonderful work in encouraging the fascinating hobby of rock and alpine gardening. It import: seeds and plants, and from its gardens members draw their supplies of choice alpines. Many species and varieties would be unknown in New Zealand gardens but for the society.
