GERMAN ACTRESS OFFERED GOOD CONTRACT
TO FOLLOW VILMA BANKY Nominated to follow Vilma Banky as Ronald Colman's leading woman, Lili Damiti , of the Feiner Film Company, of Berlin, has an M.-G.-M. contract under consideration. Samuel Goldwyn made her an offer to appear in American films, with the idea of featuring her in a new series of ColmaTi pictures. Miss Damiti is 22 years old, and has blonde hair and dark brown eyes. She began a professional career four years ago with the Paris
Opera ballet. During the last thre years she has spent all her time i German films, rising from supers t starring parts. Goldwyn discovered her on hi trip to London and Paris, the sam trip on which, he hired Walter Butle English stage acted*, to appear opposite Miss Banky. Unsuccessful in his search for a promising male player. Goldwyn told Ronald
Colman, then in London, of his difficulty. Colman suggested Butler an old friend of Vl ma Banky his, and brought him to see Gold j wyn.
