HIPPODROME

BIG DOUBLE BILL A highly dramatic story with Corinne Griffith in the leading role, is “Three Hours,’ ’the first feature on the programme now being shown at the Hippodrome Theatre. In “Three Hours,” Miss Griffith will be seen in the highly emotional role of a woman of refinement and culture who is turned out of her home by an irate and insanely jealous husband, who, falsely accusing her of infidelity, plans to ruin her both socially and financially. The second attraction is entitled “Doubling With Danger,” starring Richard Talmadge. While the film presents Dick in a number of new and dangerous “stunts” of the kind that have featured his earlier productions, the story of “Doubling With Danger” is a mystery drama involving the efforts of a group of foreign spies to obtain posession of some extremely valuable plans, and Talmadge a somewhat different role as the secretary whose quick wit and agility eventually defeats the secret agents’ designs. The cast includes such players as Ena Gregors’, Harry Dunkinson, Herbert Prior and Paul Dimmes.
