ONEHUNGA POLICE COURT
SPEEDING MOTORISTS At the Onehunga Police Court this morning an application for exemption under the new Tobacconists Regulation was made by A. B. Ormrod and W. M. Ritchie. This was opposed by four other Onehunga tobacconists. After long legal argument and the taking of evidence the Magistrate, Mr. J. H. Luxford, reserved his decision. For speeding across street intersections the following were each fined 10s and costs; John S.- Albon, Sydney R. August, James B. Burgess, Eric R. Clarke, Geoffrey R. Haines, Godfrey Holmes, Claude Over, W. Richardson, R. Schofield, Hugh Wright, and W r illiam Wakefield; Vincent Coraigliano, Jolm Harrison and H. F. Winn, £1 each and Cyril F. McPherson and R. B. Williamson, 15s each. A case in which the Superintendent of State Advances is sueing Alexander Campbell for possession of a farm at Awhitu is still proceeding.
