SUPREME COURT SENTENCES
SITTING IN CHRISTCHURCH Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. Prisoners were sentenced in the Supreme Court by Judge Adams as follows: Jean Kenneth Gay, aged 22, for theft, nine months in gaol; Arthur Schenkel, aged 19, for theft, probation for two years; Alfred Charles Welman, for housebreaking and theft, nine months in gaol; Ira Francis Bishell, for a forged receipt, two years probation; Leonard Charles Haskell, for housebreaking, six months in gaol, followed by two years’ reformative treatment; Cecil William Hector Isaacs, indecent assault, reformative detention for one year.
