Australian Cyclists for Amsterdam

Dune. Gray & J. Standen A CCORDING to information received from across the Tasman the crack Australian cyclist, Jack Standen, is practically a certainty for the Olympic Games, while it is quite possible that Dune. Gray may also pack his bag. If Standen and Gray can produce anything like their Wanganui form their chances at Amsterdam are fairly rosy, as all the cycling titles are under unpaced conditions. Standen and Gray, who have both, a good jump, should find the conditions to their liking. The last representatives of Australia in the cycling events at the Olympic Games, Dempsey and Coppins, both cyclists of outstanding merit, were beaten on their lack of experience. In match racing Standen and Gray have had all the benefits of this experience, and in unpaced match races both riders are at home.
