CARPENTER FORGETS WIFE BIGAMY ADMITTED Although his lawful wife was still living, Henry George Osman, a carpenter, aged 45, went through the marriage ceremony with a girl aged 17 at Papakura in October last. At the Police Court to-day he ' pleaded guilty to a charge of bigamy and was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence. In a statement accused said that he was married first in 1914, but his wife was now in a mental hospital. Last year he kept company with the girl until circumstances necessitated marriage. Before the wedding he told the girl he was a widower. A charge of being £l3O in arrears on a maintenance order was held over in the meantime.
