NEW SYDNEY THEATRE
LIKE AUCKLAND REGENT Sydney’s new theatre, the Regent, is modelled exactly on the lines of Auckland’s Regent, according to Mr. Beaumont Smith, managing director for J. C. Williamson Films, who arrived back after a fortnight’s trip to Sydney today. Mr. Beaumont Smith said he came back so soon because he found that Auckland was a much more delightful place than Sydney in the summer. After the famous monkey act of Mortiz, Max and Akka. “the firm” had engaged the Kwong Sing Wah troup of Chinese acrobats, who would be here next week.
