Checking the Hose.— -In view of the increasing shortage of water, the Mayor of Wanganui has arranged with the city engineer to take steps to stop bowling, croquet, tennis and cricket clubs from making indiscriminate use of hoses on sports grounds. Only one hour is to be allowed in the morning and one in the evening for hosing purposes.
