TAUMARUNUI INQUESTS
ACCIDENTAL DEATHS (From Our Own Correspondent) TAUMARUNUI, To-day. An inquest was held at Ohura to-day before the coroner, Mr. A. S. Laird, concerning the death of the brothers Gordon Jenks and Albert Jenks, who lost their lives in the swimming pool near Ohura township on Sunday afternoon. A verdict was returned of accidental drowning. No one witnessed the tragedy, but the boys were seen bathing in the pool alone prior to the discovery of the bodies. An inquest was also held at Ohura concerning the death of a Maori infant, Harry Howe, who died when his mother was taking him to the doctor. A verdict was returned that the evidence was insufficient to show the cause of death, which was probably due to marasmus following improper feeding.
