AMERICAN TOTAL IS 228 TAXES OF £16,200,000 By Cable. — Press Association.—Copyright WASHINGTON, Monday. It is announced that the number of persons of die millionaire income class in 1C.26 in the United States totalled 228. which represented an increase of 21 over the previous year. Persons with incomes in excess of £1.000,000 increased from seven to 14 in the same period. The millionaire income group declared a total income for the year of £98,000,000. on which was paid £16,200,000 as tax. This represented one-ninth of all the income taxes paid. • -A. and N.Z,
