We’re Back Again at Epsom! LOOKING FOR “DIVVIES" Colour on the Lawns

Of inftnte charm and variety were the many dainty frocks and ensemble lOiti of summery materials worn today at Alexandra Park, when milady got back again to the serious business of picking winners.

Judging by the eagerness with which the feminine devotees of the trots thronged to Epsom, they had found yesterday’s day of rest from racing more than enough. Fashions were bright again, and ever so gay in colour, ranging from the delicate misty pinks of summer clouds to full rich tones of scarlet and blue.

Among those present were: Mrs. Lowry (Hawke’s Bay), black georgette frock Avith Naples blue relief, Mack georgette coat and wide black hat with band of blue flowers.

Mrs. R. Reid (Hamilton), ficelle georgette frock under golden brown satin ( oat, with leopard skin collar and cuffs and rose hat.

Mrs. S. Gleeson, navy blue tailored frock and lotus pink crinoline hat with floral trimming. Mrs. C. Browne, suit of fawn sedan cloth worn with small black velvet hat.

Mrs. George Gribbin, coat of black satin faeonne over beige and black georgette frock and black hat. Miss Sadie Mitchelson, striped jacket of erepella over fawn skirt, with closefitting hat to tone. Mrs. J. Beatson (New Plymouth), black and white figured crepe de chine frock under black georgette coat and small black hat. Mrs. J. Crawford, black satin crepe frock and coat and black hat with blue flowers. Mrs. A. Coutts. amethyst shaded frock under fawn Kasha coat and black satin Mrs. E. Abbott, frock of beige and navy blue banded crepe de chine with navy and rose pink hat. Bln. Irving, and gold figured crepe de chine on black ground with blat-k hat and white feathers. Mrs. C. J. lleid, navy blue tailleur, marmot furs and cedar-brown hat, with wallflower coloured floral trimming. Mrs. F. Duval, frock of white crepe elise with bands of rose pink and rose embroidery, vvhite fox furs and hat of beige Bangkok. Mrs. Mervyn Reed, pillar-box red and black patterned frock of white crepe de chine with black hat of Bangkok. Miss C. Sloman, frock of geraniumrose and white crepe de chine, with black hat. Miss Sloman, beige frock of tricolette, with multi-coloured designs and beige hat banded with maize ribbon. Mrs. Killworth, black and white ensemble of crepe nlonza with white hat.
