SOLO CONTEST The annual solo contest for encouraging young bandsmen was held in the VVaihi Federal Band Hall on Saturday and some enjoyable solos wer? rendered by the various To give all an equal chance sealed handicaps were issued and the points added to those given by the judge Bight bandsmen entered the competition and the piece selected was “The Skylark” (J.
