THEFT OF CLOTHING

MAN GETS 14 DAYS Alexander James Churton, who arrived by the serivice car from Kawhia on Saturday evening, was apprehended by the police at Te Awamutu, it being alleged that' he had stolen articles of wearing apparel from William Henry Robinson, at Oparau, also a bed jacket, the property of the Waikato Hospital Board. He was brought before Mr. L. G. Armstrong and Mr. S. H. Dunkley. Justices, to answer the charges, and was convicted and sentenced to 14 days’ imprisonment with hard labour on each charge, the sentences to be cumulative.
