A fire, which broke out in a six-roomed house at 56 Richmond Road, shortly after 2 p.m. yesterday, was subdued before any great damage could be done. The house, which is owned and occupied by Mr. C. W. Payne, was being renovatecl and the paint being burnt, off when the weatherboards caught alight.
