CHINESE SOCCER TOUR
EXPENSIVE END MANAGERS LOSE HEAVILY By Cable. —Press Association.—Copyright Reed. 12.15 p.m. SYDNEY, To-day. It would appear that the abrupt termination of the Chinese Soccer team’s tour of Australia was the outcome of internal dissensions in the team, presumably arising over financial matters. Several members refused to continue the campaign. This led to the abandonment of several important matches to have been played in Queensland, by which it was hoped to recoup some of the losses made in other States. The losses will fall heavily upon the joint managers, Professor Kwong and Mr. C. Woo, who guaranteed the financing of the tour. —A. and N.Z.
