FOR THE WINDOW
NOVEL IDEA IN CURTAINS A novel and dainty way of arranging the curtains over small windows is pictured here. For the centre medallion use a square of filet or crochet and gather a light material on to two sides, so that the material above can be hung from the curtain rod and the lower half fall softly from the lace.
This idea is more suitable for upstairs windows, where the curtains need not be drawn, and although not suitable for many types of window, it is unusually dainty when combined with the right kind of shallow “cottage casement.”
