“SCANDALOUS COMBINE”
DEFECTIVE ELECTRIC BULBS TiURING a discussion on the * 1 lighting at Northcote, at the Waitemata Power Board today, Mr. S. E. Kennings said all electric lamps were now manufactured under an international combine. The lamps did not last nearly as long as lamps used to. “The combine scheme was laid down in Berlin,’ asserted Mr. Kennings. “and even the Government can’t do anything about it.” A member: A scandal. Mr. Kennings said all the brands of lamps were liable to bad shipments.
