TRIUMPHS ARE COMING

AT Wildwood Farm, one of the breeding establishments in Canterbury, affairs are going along swimmingly, and great interest is being taken in the education of several classy yearlings by the American-bred stallion The Triumph (2.8.1). Some of them are clean-gaited pacers; others are nice-actioned trotters. They all resemble their sire, and in addition to possessing plenty of vitality and their sire’s good looks, they are of ideal size. One colt already displays a whole lot of ability at the pacing gait, and a filly is a gem of a trotter. Both are high-class youngsters, and it would take a big piece of money to buy them. Their sire, The Triumph, is now owned by Mr. B. P. Edwards, at Papatoetoe, who is breeding extensively from the high-class American horse.
