RIDERS FOR TO-MORROW HENDERSON’S SIX Not a great number of riding engagements have been announced so

far for the racing at Trentham, but those known are interesting. The popular Auckland horseman, Sammy Henderson, has no less than half a dozen rides to-morrow, and in view of the winning trot he experienced at the Great Northern meeting many will

be expecting him to repeat the performance of winning six races over hurdles and country, and on the flat. Some of the riding arrangements are as follow: S. Henderson. —Beau Cavalier, Master Boon, Catkin, Santonio, Piperenzo and Kamehameha (in Trentham and Winter Hurdles). E. Stan way. —Mount Marta, Rahepoto and Gold Rain. A. McDonald. —Brigadier Bill and Ngata (second and third days). H. McSweeney. —Comical, Banjuke and Captain Sarto. P. Mcßrearty. —Hokioi and San Pedro. H. Gordon. —Bonny Rill (or Sir Wai) and Aotea Roa. F. Corlett. —Gauntlet and Horomea. E. Warner. —Perle de Leon. W. Rennie. —Wedding March, Lord Star, York Abbey (second day). W. J. Bowden. —Kawini, Enare, Xukumai (Whyte Memorial and Winter Hurdles), Royal Form. R. E. Thomson. —Tuki, Gaze. A. Ellis. —Woden and Wharncliffe. L. G. Morris. —Avro and Shining Armour. A. Hobson.—Black Mint and Vexa- | lious. J. Barry. —Tresham and Royal PicI ture (second day). T. Green. —Merry Bamon. R. McTavish. —Thurnus. Jockeys’ Premiership Unless R. McTavish has unexpected successes at the Wellington meeting next week, the honour of topping the list of winning riders in the Bominion this season will go to the apprentice T. Green. Green has had a great run, and despite the fact that he was suspended for a month by the judicial committee

of the Auckland Racing- Club and also was out of the saddle for some weeks with a broken collarbone, he has ridden not less than 46 winners. Last season Green was first home on 211 occasions. Only 1£ wins behind T. Green, the Auckland horseman, R. McTavish, is keen on securing the position at the top of the list of successful riders this season. Always a capable horseman, this is McTavish’s best season, and he will have several mounts at Wellington, while he will also be riding at the Gisborne meeting on July 28 and 30. With a bit of luck McTavish might easily deprive T. Green of the lead. He rode 251 winners last season and 22 during 1924-25.
