ENTHUSIASTIC SCENE By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright Reed. 9.30 a.m. LONDON, Friday. BRILLIANT assemblage of Lords _ and Commoners, bishops and civil and military dignitaries welcomed the Duke and Duchess of York at Westminster Hall, under the auspices of the Parliamentary Association. When the Duke and Duchess, the latter wearing a delightful pink dress, pink hat and cloak, appeared at the head of the staircase, they were greeted with a spontaneous outburst of cheering and handclapping. Mr. L. S. Amery, Secretary of State for the Dominions, presented many notables and Dominion visitors. The Duke and Duchess afterwards descended into the hall, mingled with the guests, and chatted at length with Mr. Amery, Sir Howard D’Egville and Mr. Ramsay MacDonald, Leader of the Labour Party.
