GAMING BILL

CURIOSITY NOT SATISFIED MR. LEE EXTENDS A FEELER (THE SUN’S Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. A feeler which Mr. J. A. Lee extended in the House to-day failed to draw from the Prime Minister an indication of the Government’s attitude towards Sir George Hunter’s Gaming Bill. Mr. Lee asked whether the Government intended to give any time to the passage of the measure. A great many people, he said, were curious as to what was in the mind of the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister expressed surprise that such a large number was interested in the bill.
