TRADE UNIONISM
POSTMEN BREAK AWAY POLITICIANS MAY SLEEP EASY By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Reed. 1.15 p.m. LONDON, Friday. Declaring that the step is due entirely to the Trade Disputes Bill, the Post Office workers’ official organ, “The Post,” announces that the executive has decided to cease its affiliation with the Labour Party. It adds: “Henceforth we have no ■connection with party politics, and Mr. Winston Churchill will no longer have occasion for sleeplessness through fearing that the postal service will suddenly cease at the behest of the Trade Union Council.”—A and N.Z.
