SENT TO GAOL Married at 17, she became the mother of a child. While her husband was at sea she left the infant wth her parents. Went to London with another man and had another child. This man was married and later returned to his wife. After that she became acquainted with a man well known in the city. Divorce proceedings against him were commenced and he left the country. She abandoned her second child in a mews and lived with another man at Clapham. When arrested was expecting another child, which has since been born. This, it was stated at Alurylebone Police Court, was the record in brief of Edith Aloore, aged 22, of Stockwell. Charged with abandoning her second baby, she was sentenced to six weeks’ imprisonment in the second division. “I should imagine,” said the magistrate, “that you have upset many homes in your matrimonial adventures.” , She cm cm cm cm cm cm cm cm c
