FINAL TO-DAY The Auckland Provincial Cup competition was continued at Remuera yesterday, when two rounds of matches were played. In the B section great interest was shown in the match between Tauranga and Auckland Collegians, neither side having been defeated in its previous games. It was a surprise to all when Collegians had an overwhelming victory, scoring 12 goals to Tauranga’s 2. In the A section, Waipa drew with Whakatane, the leading team. The game was characterised by sound defensive play by both rearguards, the forwards being unable to break through, and no goals were scored. In the afternoon the best game in the B section was Collegians’ defeat of Rotorua, after a well-contested game.
