RELIEF WORK
The Public Works Department has about 170 men employed on relief work in the South Auckland district. Access roads absorb 100 men in Waimahana Valley, Owawenga and Otorohanga: Kaimai Hills accounts for 30. Mamaku Road 20 and Te Maika Road 10.
