. COUNCIL'S BY-LAW WHERE AND WHERE NOT TO PARK There seems to be a considerable amount of misunderstanding about the correct parking places round the city. THE SUN is therefore publishing below a list of places where parking is prohibited, and also where parking is allowed for only 15 or 20 minutes. It will be understood of course that the full and correct list is found in the council’s by-laws.
PARKING PROHIBITED Under Section 356 of the Auckland City By-laws, no vehicles may be left unattended in: Albert Street, the portion from Mills Bane to Cook Street, which is laid down in concrete. Albert Street, the portion from Customs Street West to Mills Lane, which is not laid down in concrete. City Road, off Symonds Street. Court House Lane. Durham Street West. Durham Street Hast. Federal Street, on its western side. Fort Street Lane. Glenside Crescent, between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Gore Street Lane. Grafton Bridge. High Street. Kitchener Street, from Court House Lane to Princes Street. Liverpool Street. Lome Street, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. O’Connell Street, on western side. Swanson Street. Vulcan Lane. PARKING 15 MINUTES
Parking for 15 minutes at one time is allowed in the following places: / Queen Street, from Quay Street to Wellesley Street. Shortland Street, from Queen Street to Field’s Lane. PARKING 20 MINUTES
Parking for 20 minutes at one time is*allowed in the following places: Chancery Lane. Commerce Street, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Customs Street East, from Queen Street to Gore Street. Customs Street West, from Queen Street to Albert Street. Darby Street, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Elliott Street, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Fort Street, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Glenside Crescent, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Gore Street, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Karangahape Road. Khyber Pass Road. Little Queen Street, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. North Road, from Mount Eden Road to Dominion Road. O’Connell Street on eastern side. Ponsonby Road, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Quay Street East, from Queen Street to Breakwater Road, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Quay Street West. Queen Street, from Wellesley Street to Karangahape Road. Symonds Street, from Mount Eden Road to East Street, and from Grafton Bridge to City Road. Victoria Street East, from Queen Street to High Street. Victoria Street West, from Queen Street to Albert Street, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Wellesley Street East, from Queen Street to Kitchener Street. Wellesley Street West from Queen Street to Albert Street.
