WHAT BRITISH-BUILT MEANS
The classification of “British-made ’ automobiles has recently been decided by the Association of British Motor Manufactures. It is defined by the association as applying only to vehicles in which a minimum of 75 per cent, of the value of each vehicle is guaranteed to represent British labour and materials.
The association only admits to its membership manufacturers whose car products fulfil this condition.
In the condition the word British is interpreted as meaning the British Isles.
