BRITANNIA

“THE CAVE MAN” Matt Moore and Marie Prevost are co-featured in “The Cave Man,’’ opening to-night at the Britannia Theatre. This story by Gilette Burgess was one of the dramatic hits of the stage. Miss Prevost has such a part as she had in E r n e st Lubitsc h’s “Kiss Me Again.” while Matt Moore is presented in an entirely new type of character. The value of a story of this kind lies in its humanness and dramatic colour. It is a literal character stud\ of the transformation of a man's code and mode of living. Of course, there are touches of comedy, but it will be more of the subtle type to blend with the highly dramatic theme. Miss Prevost in her recent pictures. “Bobbed Hair” “Kiss Me Again,” “Seven Sinners,” and “His Jazz Bride,” has been commended for her excellent work and vivid portrayals of the types she played. In “The Cave Man” she has every opportunity to add to her laurels, for it is just the kind of story that affords it.
