N.Z. ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIP FIXTURES A meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Golf Association was held yesterday. The statement of finance showed a -credit balance of £256. The following clubs, which had made application for affiliation were elected members of the associationAkarana Golf Club (Auckland). Waingaro Golf Clyb (Waingaro, via Ngaruawahia). Gore Golf Club (Gore). Terouka Golf Club (Temuka), Kaikohe iTolf Club (North Auckland), Russell Golf Club (Russell), Mount Herbert Golf Club (Waipukurau), Herrington Golf Club (Foxton), Okoroire Golf Club (Okorolre, via Auckland). The dates of forthcoming tournaments were advised and approved of as under:— Hutt, July 21, 22 and 23; Dannevirke. August 4, 5 and 6. West Coast Championship (Hokitika), August 24, 25 and 26: New Zealand Championship (Hamilton, August 31 to September 10; Takapau, September S iladies). 0 and 10 (men); Manaawtu. September 13, 14, and 15; Waipukurau, September 15, 16 and 17; Glendowie, September 24. 26 and 27; Napier, September 27, 2S, 20 and 30; Wanganui, October. 6, 7 and 8; South Auckland (Hamilton), October 13, 14 and 15; Seafield (Wanganui), commencing October 22. CHAMPIONSHIPS The programme for the New Zealand hamplonship tounrnament at Hamilton was approved of, very much on the lines of last year’s programme, with *he addition of the foursome chamonships for amateurs and profession's. on August 31, and at the suggesion of the Hamilton Golf Club, the handicap event on the last Friday of the tournament is to be a foursome Instead of a four-ball, as in previous years. The date of the annual general meeting of delegates at Hamilton was fixed for Wednesday, September 7. An application was before the council from the Otago Golf Club with reference to the 1928 championship meeting, but as it was found there was not sufficient time available to fully consider this matter, it was decided to hold a special meeting of the council on Monday next to deal with this, and also with the question of the next competition for the Kirk-Windeyer Cup.
