QUEEN STREET INTERSECTION WIDER RADIUS OF TRAM TRACKS The work of altering the tram tracks a t the intersection of Queen and Customs Streets is now finished. To-day citizens expressed their appreciation of the wider curve of the rails and the improvements to this congested corner of the city. Th« tramway authorities are very satisfied with the work, which has occupied their attention since the month or May. Much of the work was done l "'ice over, but this was done to preVe nt any hitch in the traffic and inconvenience to the travelling public. With a wider radius the trams are now able to take the corner much more comfortably than formerly, and since tne street corners have been put back Pedestrians have more freedom in crossing the streets. The whole of the work was carried nut to schedule, but so correctly had Jne adjustments and measurements j>een made that during the last week me workmen were ahead of themselves. As each section was finished the street surface was covered with neuchatal asphalt. Under the new rails there is a bed of concrete, made With electric cement.
