MONEY TALKS
TIMMY Craig, Queensland League Rugby star, was offered £BOO to sign on with the Leeds club, with a further guarantee of £6 for winning matches, £4 for drawn games and £2 for defeats. When the last Sydney mail left, Craig was still considering the offer. Although the terms offered Craig are substantial they are not nearly so generous as those offered Dally Messenger and Frank Burge, who turned down £IOOO and £2OOO respectively to sign up for English clubs.
