ANOTHER LEAGUE TRINITY

ONSONBY and Peckam are synonymous in League V football in Auckland. There are three brothers, * Tim, Joe and Ken, the former being- the best-known £ of the trio. Tim has been a great asset to the 31 thirteen-a-side code in Auckland. Originally hailing from the Waikato, he came to Auckland some years ago, and played for City. The call of the open spaces must have been too much for Tim, because, before very long, he was back in the butter-fat country, where lie represented Lower Waikato. Then “back to town” again, he joined Ponsonby, and has worn the blue and black jersey ever since. Tim is an Auckland rep., and as a half-back as game as they make ’em. If he has a

fault, it is that he is inclined to hang on too long, but for a real, hard game, he is a great chap to have on your side. Brother Joe is a hefty forward, but is not anxious to play, although lie is always on hand in case the “ Ponies” are stuck. He is a very handy man to fall back on. Iven, the other brother, is a promising five-eighth. He has not been enjoying the best of health of late, but he is better now, and will probably be seen out with the team in the near future. He was a junior till the New Zealand team went away; then he came up to senior rank, and alljgoing well, he ought to be there permanently, but with'five-eighths of the class of Delgrosso and Riley in the team, it can be readily understood that no discredit is attached to the fact that he has not come up sooner.
