Colonel Knott, of the Salvation Armv who has been visiting Auckland, returned to Wellington by the express last evening. * Mr. K. M. Ballantyne, the New Zealand illustrator now settled in New Tork, was a passenger for Vancouver by the Aorangi yesterday. He was ac eompanied by his brother, Mr A M Ballantyne, architect, of Chicago. ’ The Maoris in the vicinity of Auckland are arranging a welcome to Dr Ellison, who is to succeed Dr Peter Buck as Director of Native Hygiene.
