THISTLE MEMBERS MEET PLAYERS SUPPORT CLUB COMMITTEE A special general meeting of the members of the Thistle Football Club wa * called last evening to consider the expulsion of the club’s officers and committee by the Auckland Football Association. Mr. F. Pickering presided over an attendance* of about 80 members, and the proceedings were not °Pen to the Press. At the conclusion the meeting, after the issue had been discussed fully by players a*nd officebearers, certain resolutions were carr,ed unanimously and were conveyed to fhe A.F.A. management to-day. It believed that the playing and other members endorsed the action of the club committee without a dissentient voice: The resolutions as drafted are tantamount to a cancellation of the c ' u h’s affiliation with the local association, if carried into effect.
