Public notice is Uiereby given that in pursuance and exercise of the power vested in it in that behalf by Sections 51 to 59 of “The Rating Act, 1925,” Sections 77, S 4, SB, S 9 and 9S of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,” Section 52 of "The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926,” Sections 21, 22 and 23 of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” and “The New Zealand State Guaranteed Advances Act, 1909,” and all amendixients thereof respectively and of every other power it enabling, it is the intention of the Otahuhu Borough Council at a meeting to be held in the Council 'Chambers, Great South Road, Otahuhu, on THURSDAY, July 14, 1927, at 7.30 p.m., to make and levy the following rates and fees for the year commencing on the Ist day of April, 1927, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1928, viz.:— (1) —A General Rate of Two pence and five thirty-seconds of . a penny (2 5-32nds) in the £. (2) —A Hospital and Charitable Aid Rate of Ten-sixteenths of a penny (10-16ths) in the £. (3) —A Street Lighting Rate of Threeeighths of a penny (3-Sths) in the £. (4) —To collect a Special Interest Rate of Five pence and Fifteen thirty-sec-onds of a penny (5 15-32nds) in the £, to provide Interest and Sinking Fund Charges on the _ following Loans—of provement Loan of £3,000: Office and Workshops Site Loan of £750; Mangere Bridge Loan of £750; Nightsoil Service Loan of £500; Antecedent Liability Loan of £4,850; Waterworks Extension Loan of £4,150; Park Improvement Loans of £I,OOO and £100; Drainge Loans of £21,500 and £2,150; Avenue Road Widening Loan of £175; Water and Streets Improvement Loan of £3,000; Streets Improvement Loan of £42,850; Drainage Improvement Loan of £20,000; Waterworks Improvement Loan of £12,000 (first issue £9,000): Unemployment Loan of £1,000; Municipal Buildings Loan, 1926, £7,600; Mangere Road Improvement Loan, 1926, £11,000; Septic Tank Loan of £ SOO. (5;. —1,1 respect to the Ordinary Supply— Upon all lands and buildings to which water is supplied a Rate of One hundred and forty-fourth of a penny (1 -144th) in the £, with a minimum charge of Ten Shillings (10s) per annum (allowing a consumption of 5,000 gallons each six months). (G). —Non-consumers’ - Rate—Upon all lands and buildings to which water can be but is not supplied situate within one hundred yards from any part of the waterworks, a Rate of a Two hundred and eighty-eighth of a penny (l-288th) in the £. being onehalf of the above-mentioned rate with a minimum charge of Five Shillings (ss) per annum. (The water charges for Extraordinary Supply and dieter Rent are fixed by Sections 281 to 282 of the By-laws of the said Council.) (7) A Uniform Sanitation Fee of Twenty-five Shillings (255) per pan per house for sanitation purposes for the year 1927-28 on all properties in the Borough outside the Drainage area and served by the Nightsoil ser(B) —A Uniform Sanitation (Refuse) Fee of Ten Shillings (10s) per pan per house for sanitation purposes for the vear 1927-28 on all properties in the Borough served by the Refuse SerAll such Rates to be on the Unimproved Value of all rateable Properties appearing in the Valuation Roll for the time being in force in the Borough ofOtahuhu. The whole of the above Rates, ■banitetton Fees and Charges will be etle and navable in one sum at the office of the Town Clerk and Borough Collector, Great South Road, Otahuhu, on the Ist day of August, 1927. PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION FOR SANCTION OP Notice is hereby given that the Mount Eden Borough Council proposes, at its meeting to be held on the 12th day of July* 1027, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of One hundred thousand pounds ( tioo.uyoj for the purposes of Sewerage and Drainage. Any person having any objection to the proposed' application is called on to submit the same in writing to the Mount Eden Borough Council not later than the date preceding the said meeting.
