The New Zealand Rugby Union has informed local unions that reports are in circulation to the effect that some unions are putting their representative teams into camps for training before' interprovincial matches. This practice is disapproved, and is against the International Board's rules, which lay it down that training of this kind is against the spirit. of amateur Rugby. The position in regard to Rugby teams going into camp for representative training was outlined in last Friday’s issue of THE SUN. At the present time it is reported that both the Hawke’s Bay and Wairarapa teams are in camp this week for the Ranfurly Shield match at Masterton on Saturday.
