MUNICIPAL CONCERTS
A beautiful programme will be given by the Municipal Band in the Town Hall on Saturday evening next. The fine band items are three Elgar numbers, “The March of the Mogul Emperors,” “Salut D'Amour,” and “Sevillana,” two Beethoven numbers, the “Egmont” overture, and Andante con Moto from the Fifth Symphony, Massenet’s most tuneful and charming suite, “Scenes Pittoresque,” and Sibelius’ “Finlandia.” Mr. Hal C. McLennan, the band’s brilliant flautist, will play Clinton’s “Lieder Ohne Worte.” The assisting vocalists are Miss Kate Christie, who will sing “Sing, Break Into Song,” and “Calm as the Night,” and Mr. Stan. Pritchard, whose numbers will be “The Lute Player” and “Son of Mine.” Booking is at Messrs. Lewis R. Eady and Son, Ltd.
