MANUREWA TOWN BOARD

War has been declared on all unregistered dogs by the Manurewa Town Board and instructions have been given to the foreman to destroy all such animals. The girls’ basketball club is to be given a section qf Jellieoe Park to play on and the grass will be cut for them. As a result of complaints it was decided to instruct the ranger to investigate the question of straying cattle and appoint the foreman an additional ranger. ACCIDENTALLY DROWNED Yesterday morning Mr. A. F. Tunks, coroner, held an inquiry regarding the death of James Lfnton, whose body was recently found on the beach. It was shown that the deceased, who lived on the other side of the harbour, was seen crossing the railway bridge on Saturday evening, but there was no evidence to indicate how he got into the water. The verdict of the coroner was that Linton had been accidentally drowned.
