A RANGER CAUGHT
SHOOTS HEN PHEASANT STIFF FINES INFLICTED (From Our Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, To-day. “It. is surprising to see a ranger in thls position,” said Mr. F. W. Platts S.M., at the Waihi Court yesterday when convicting and fining W'alter Weeks £7 10s and costs £3 10s for shooting a hen pheasant. William Lynch was charged with trespassing in pursuit of game and iliegallv shooting game, and a fine of — 5 was recorded, with costs £3 15s.
