MARY’S HOUSE
Princess Mary was among those who appreciated the joke when the band at a Manchester ceremony she was attending struck up the tune “Let’s all go to Mary’s house.” She had just laid a foundation-stone at the Manchester Infirmary, and as she stepped down from the platform the song was played. At once some of the onlookers took up the refrain and sang lustily the words, “And let’s have a real good time.”
