CLASSES CARRY ON AT NORMAL SCHOOL
NEW CLASSROOMS FOUND Despite the damage caused by the fire at the Normal School on Sunday evening, very little interruption to school work has resulted. Pupils in standards from 111. to VI., and also the model country school pupils, were transferred to the Newton East school building in Belgium Street, which has been vacant for some time. The lower classes it was possible to accommodate in the undamaged classrooms.
It is expected that the arrangement will continue until the end of the year, when the Normal School at Epsom will be ready for use.
The question as to what will be done with the Wellesley Street school will be decided at r the meeting of the Auckland Eduction Board to-morrow.
