BODY ON THE ROCKS

DEVONPORT DISCOVERY NO EVIDENCE OF SUICIDE That death was due to drowning, there being no evidence to show how the body came to be in the water, was the verdict recorded by Mr. W. R. McKean. S.M., in the inquest held yesterday on John Edward Gunning, aged 45, whose body was found on Devonport beach on June 25.

The coroner added that there was no evidence to suggest suicide.
