PASTORAL OUTLOOK

NERVOUSNESS REFLECTED STUD SHEEP SALES By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Reed. 1 p.m. SYDNEY, To-day. The opening day of the annual stud sheep sales, which was devoted to Merino rams, reflected the prevailing nervousness regarding the pastoral outlook.

Though the quality was quite up to the average, bidding was slacker, and the prices paid were lower than at last year's opening sale. The top prices were 700 guineas for a Wanganella stud ram, and 625 for a Uardrk ram.

The demand for choice animals from other noted studs was fairly good, prices ranging from 150 to 550 guineas.—A. and N.Z.
