FIGURES IN HOLY PICTURE PAINTING CAUSES DISCUSSION A Modernist painting on the wall of All Hallows’ Church, East India Docks, E„ is arousing keen discussion among the congregation. The painting, which is not yet completed, covers about 50ft of the side wall and is about Sft in height. The artist is a girl, Miss Evelyn Dodgson. who started the work two years ago. The scene will represent Christ addressing the multitudes on the shores of the Lake of Galilee.
