THISTLE EXECUTIVE THE SOCCER IMBROGLIO DRASTIC ACTION TAKEN The protracted discussion between the Auckland Football Association management and the committee of the Thistle Cluo neared a dramatic climax at a meeting of the Thistle executive last evening. i LETTER was received from the secretary of the A.F.A. enclosing two resolutions which had been carried at a special meeting of the management committee held at Blandford Park on Saturday afternoon. The first was: "That the Thistle Club officials whose names appeared in the minute-book of the association as having been present at the meeting of the Auckland Football Association Management Committee on June 21 be expelled from membership of the association until such time as they agree to the withdrawal of the club’s letter of May 30.”

They now stand expelled under separate resolutions, Rule 6 of the A.F.A. constitution providing that the management committee may, for reasons of behaviour, misconduct or reputation, by a majority at an ordinary meeting, decide to carry out the expulsion of any member.

The suspensions now imposed will take effect from to-morrow. They will be submitted to the weekly meeting of the management committee of the A.P.A. to-night for confirmation. The decision of the A.F.A. is, however, subject to appeal from those affected to the New Zealand Council, and it is possible that it will be some time yet before the whole matter is finalised.
