HARBOUR BRIDGE
STILL IN VIEW NEW RESOLUTION PASSED KAIPARA COUNTY COUNCIL The Waitemata Harbour bridge scheme has been revived again by the Kaipara County Council, Dargaville. Writing last week to the Auckland Chamber of Commerce, the council forwarded a copy of a resolution passed at its last general meeting as follows: “That the secretary write to all chambers of commerce north of Auckland inviting their co-operation in starting a forward movement for the erection of a bridge over the Waitemata Harbour, proposing that preference be given to that work over the tunnel and duplication of railway line at Morningside, and that the Hobson County Council be requested to promote a conference of local bodies on the question.”
