A POPULAR WEDDING AT REMUERA

WILSON—SWEET Exquisite in all its appointments, from the orange blossoms deftly caught in the bride’s shimmering veil to the hem of the tiny train-bearer’s dainty little frock, was the wedding at St. Mark’s Church, Remuera, to-day, of Phyllis Aubrey, the only daughter of Dr. Bruton Sweet, to Dr. Harold William, the twin son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Wilson. The bridal gown was simply fashioned of white georgette, blended in charming manner with silver lace. A beautiful train of cloth of silver gave witching grace to her gown, and gleamed with every movement. Of Brussels lace was her dainty veil composed, and its misty billowy folds lent to the bride an air of almost ethereal daintiness. Her bouquet was a splendid, beautiful shower of pure white flowers. Four maids attended her, each wearing a delightful gown of parma violet panne velvet, expressed on simple lines. Violet-shaded felt hats were worn, each charmingly trimmed with panne velvet to match the gown, and each dainty maid carried a silver basket filled with fragrant early spring violets. They were the Misses Corrie Russell, Audrey Hutchinson, Freda Rathbone, and Kitty Knight. Little Mary Savage made a charming train-bearer, wearing a pretty frock of white and silver. The bridegroom was attended by Dr. Lawrence Ludbrooke as best man, and Mr. Strachan Harris, Captain Vernon Wentworth and Mr. William Geddes as groomsman. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Cruickshank, and appropriate nuptial music was played by Mr. Pascoe. The bride was given away by her father, Dr. Bruton Sweet. The church had been delightfully decorated by girl friends of the bride with attractive masses of golden wattle, forming a charming floral bower. After the ceremony a reception was held at “Lustleigh," Remuera Road, the residence of the bride’s father, where a large number of guests were received by Mrs. A. J. Hutchinson, aunt of the bride, who wore a gown ol wisteria mauve panne velvet, with a hat to tone, and carried a bouquet of mauve flowers. The bride’s going-away toilette was of Spanish raisin crepe de chine with a sable trimmed coat of velour and hat to tone. ______________________
