WEEK-END CYCLING
RACES AT MANGERE WHITE SCORES AGAIN Weather conditions could not have been worse for racing on Saturday. The fields in all the events were large, and the racing was of a high order. P. White was again in good form, and narrowly won in the fasttest time from S. Hayes. The following are the results: Auckland Athletic and Cycling Club 14-mile Race. —Blythe, smin 30sec, 1; R. Pelham, smin 30sec, 2; Storey, 3min 30 sec, 3; Prior, lmin, 4. Time, 41mln 50sec. Fastest time, P. White, scr, 37min 25 sec. Won by inches. There were IS Manukau Amateur Cycling Club 25-mile Event. —H. Boreland, imin, 1; G. Rolleston, 7min 30sec, 2; W. Boreland, Bmin, 3. Time, 74min 15sec. Fastest time, F. Casey, 45sec, 69min lsec. A good finish, a length separating first and second. There were 29 starters. Five and a-half Mile Junior Event. — i). Hope, lmin 30sec, 1; A. Rose. 2min, 2; B. Stokes, lmin 30sec, 3; E. Tolley, 3min, 4. Time, 14min 56sec. Fastest time, G. Rose, scr, 16min 12sec. A great finish. There were 12 starters.
