LITTLE THEATRE SOCIETY
“THE CASSILIS ENGAGEMENT” The Little Theatre Society of Auckland will present their second production of the year at the concert chamber of the Town Hall on July 12, 13 and 14. The play chosen is the brilliant comedy, “The Cassilis Engagement” by St. John Hankin. The cast includes Mrs. W. IT. Parkes, Mrs. Moncrieff McCallum, Miss Ethel Rae, Miss Beryl Nettleton and many other well-known players. The producer, Air. Kenneth Brampton, gave the assurance that rehearsals are well ahead, and that the members can look forward to an excellent performance. Hankin’s plays have been included in every repertory society of repute throughout the Empire. and it is fitting that Auckland should have an opportunity of seeing this delightful dramatist's work. The society, encouraged by the long list of subscribers, is planning an ambitious policy. If the support continues, it is to be hoped that the time is not far distant when the society will produce its plays in its own theatre.
